This resource is a comprehension activity for year 2, perfect for using on or around Shrove Tuesday. There are three differentiated sets of instructions on how to make the perfect pancake, with differentiated questions.
It is based on the KS1 SATs reading paper.
There are a range of ‘what’ and ‘how’ questions, some multiple choice tick questions and some that require more detailed answers. The activity is also laid out in a similar way to the SATs booklets, with four pages of pictures and short written extracts to read and 2-3 questions per page. Answers are also included.
I have also included both colour and black & white versions of each of the 3 booklets which contain some cute clip art of kids cooking!

This resource contains seven pdf lesson plans to teach children all about the Easter story. They can all be used individually or as a whole unit for Lent and Easter. They are suitable for ages 7 -11. The seven lessons are:

Each lesson contains an animated PowerPoint with a Bible story or relevant facts to help you teach the content of the lesson. (These are not editable. Please click 'Read Only' to open. Some of the images only appear when the PowerPoints are run as slideshows.) There are also templates which can be used for the literacy activities.
No further preparation is required!

All the comprehensions contain a short piece of text with picture clues for tricky words and five simple questions. There are also accompanying PowerPoints for you to read the texts through with your class if you wish.
This resource contains comprehension activities on Germany suitable for using with year 1. There are four different comprehensions:

There are three differentiated levels. There is a colour and black & white version of each level.
Each level contains four short pieces of text with words that can be sounded out. There are three trickier words which have pictures to help children work out what they say. Each passage is followed by 5 simple questions.
There is also a PowerPoint included in the pack containing a slide for each text from the middle ability so that you can go through the comprehensions before the children complete them. Each slide also contains 3 words that are trickier to sound out, with sound buttons underneath them. This is not editable. Please click the ‘Read Only’ button to open it.
